11th grade

Hi, I’m Trevor White and I’m a junior  this year. This is my fifth year at Sandy Spring and my third year on Wildezine. I like to write about pop culture specifically but I might be broadening my horizon this year. I’ve written about how the game Chess can’t affect other aspects of your live, about the boom in 80’s nostalgia this decade and other stuff.

The idea of SAFEHOME is basically a plan to monitor mentally ill people through iPhones and iWatches. The idea is very flawed. The actual idea of monitoring people who are considered potentially violent despite having no evidence is wrong and is not the right approach to solve the current crisis.

The Problems With Movie Remakes

Trevor White, Staff Writer
March 8, 2018
The vast majority of remakes are made with the sole intent of making money. This is the case with Psycho 1998, the remake of the 1960 horror classic of the same name. It is an attempted shot-for-shot remake so the only differences are the updated setting and sub-par actors. It’s a film that, like so many other remakes, is scarcely different so it can’t help but be compared to the original.
