“BIGGER PICTURE” is a poem about freeing yourself from trying to live up to expectations & ideas of who you are that exist only in someone else’s brain. The tone of the poem is defiant, brimming with bravado to mask the fact that the character is still stuck in the cycle of appeasing other people’s impressions of them.
